Building on the plan to achieve US$100 million, SPECTRAMI, a leading value-added distributor across EMEA for IT security, data centre infrastructure, niche technologies and data communication networks, has set up an extended base of operations in Turkey.

With this addition, SPECTRAMI is slowly but steadily moving towards the vision set by the CEO, Anand Choudha, in which he aims to bring SPECTRAMI among the top value-added distributors in the security arena and niche technologies. This step is taken in line with its expansion plan to cover the EMEA market and comes closely on the heels of its expansion into Germany and the UK.

The company is already working to on-board new vendor partners that will provide the momentum towards this target to achieve 80% growth in 2018. Leading its operations in Turkey is Gokhan Bas, Territory Manager. He has a great track record of experience in IT and cybersecurity product sales with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in business planning, IT security solution selling, sales, team building and management, he is also a strong professional graduated from Istanbul Business School.

“Turkey, like most developed countries, is forming a cybersecurity strategy in the following key areas: operations and cybercriminal cybersecurity; cybercrime; intelligence activities and cyber-espionage; crisis management; management of Internet and CyberTipline. Cyber awareness in Turkey has also increased dramatically in the past 10 years. SPECTRAMI will help organisations plan and execute an integrated cyber approach to harness the power of information networks to enhance business operations, increase mission performance and improve customer support, without compromising security or privacy.”

“Turkey has also historically been the crossroads for all trade between Asia and Europe. While those borders are only symbolic in today’s day and age, Turkey as a market is evolving quite steadily. It also provides us the opportunity to service the Eastern Europe region which is seeing significant development as well,” said Choudha.
