ZeroEyes, the creators of the first AI-based gun detection video analytics platform to earn the full US Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act Designation, announced that its proactive gun detection and intelligent situational awareness solution has been deployed by Trigg County Public Schools (TCPS) in Kentucky to proactively protect students, teachers, visitors and staff against gun-related threats.
Trigg County Public Schools operates on a single campus featuring a primary school, intermediate school, middle school, high school and a career and technical centre. The district is supported by a team of approximately 350 staff members, providing education to just under 2,000 students annually from the communities of Cadiz, Canton, Cerulean, Wallonia and surrounding areas. It has deployed ZeroEyes to enhance its comprehensive, multi-layered security strategy, which also includes remote badge entry, three school resource officers (SROs) and a threat assessment system.

ZeroEyes’ AI gun detection and intelligent situational awareness software layers onto Trigg County Public Schools existing digital security cameras. If a gun is identified, images are instantly shared with the ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), the industry’s only US -based, fully in-house operation centre, which is staffed 24/7/365 by military and law enforcement veterans. If these experts determine that the threat is valid, they dispatch alerts and actionable intelligence, including visual description, gun type and last known location, to first responders and school staff as quickly as three to five seconds from detection.
